Precision Lenses




We developed a full suite of lenses for the IS640 enabling both microscopic and macroscopic temperature measurement. Lenses are manufactured from Germanium and Zinc Selenide with anti-reflective coating for maximum transmission in the long wave infrared region. Each lens was designed for maximum sensitivity, long working distance, and with minimum distortion for clear, precise imaging. We also developed a new bayonet-style mechanical interface enabling quick lens attachment and removal while maximizing thermal uniformity between the lens and camera body to maintain the highest measurement accuracy.


Macroscopic Lens

This lens has an adjustable focus and working distance range of 100mm out to infinity. Maximum spatial resolution is 140µm/pixel. Applications include imaging circuit board assemblies and conducting human fever screening measurements.

Microscopic 80µm Lens

Optimized with high numerical aperture for optimal measurement sensitivity and spatial resolution, this fixed-focus lens provides 80µm/pixel spatial resolution and 51.2x38.4mm field-of-view at a working distance of 63mm. Applications include imaging larger electronic devices such as ball grid arrays.


Microscopic 20µm Lens

Optimized with high numerical aperture for optimal measurement sensitivity and spatial resolution, this fixed-focus lens provides 20µm/pixel spatial resolution and 12.8x9.6mm field-of-view at a working distance of 30mm. Applications include imaging small electronic devices and packages.


Microscopic 5µm Lens

Optimized with high numerical aperture for optimal measurement sensitivity and spatial resolution, this fixed-focus lens provides 5µm/pixel spatial resolution and 3.2x2.4mm field-of-view at a working distance of 20mm. Applications include fault isolation on semiconductor devices.
